You might find gameplay in Grim Wanderings 2 a little overwhelming for the first few minutes, but it's actually easier than you think. Battles, for example, now have an automation button. That said, it's probably better to make all the decisions related to fighting manually, since you're probably smarter than the AI.
When you start a new game, you can choose between several different races, such as orcs, humans, dwarves, gnomes, half-elves, and elves. Within each race, there are also several different character classes. With each character type, you can adopt a special set of strategies based on its skills. In the first town you visit, you can also recruit several characters to accompany you and add to your skills.
Grim Wanderings 2 is a super fun roguelike that offers an immersive gaming experience. Given that this is the second installment in the saga, the graphics have been improved, an extensive (and optional) tutorial has been added, and some aspects of gameplay have been simplified. What's not to love?
